REGULATIONS OF SERVICE
These regulations of service determine the procedure for providing services and the models of behaviour for all users of University of Tartu sports buildings and facilities.
According to the articles of association, the Sports Club provides services in the public interest for the development of sports activities at different levels and paid services according to the price list and terms and conditions approved by the management board of the Sports Club.
1.1. The Sports Club provides paid services for youth and recreational sport (including Fitness Club) training and services for the use of sports buildings and facilities according to the price list and terms and conditions approved by the management board of the Sports Club as follows:
1.1.1. a single ticket provides single admission to the sports hall or training if free places are available. A club card is not issued to a purchaser of a single ticket;
1.1.2. a 10-time pass provides admission to the sports hall or training 10 times over a period of 60 days from the date the pass was purchased, if free places are available;
1.1.3. in the case of single tickets and 10-time passes to the Fitness Club, a single training session is considered as one group training and/or use of the fitness and athletics halls. The length of a session is stated in the price list;
1.1.4. a pass issued for a fixed period provides unlimited admission to the sports hall or group training, if free places are available. In the case of Fitness Club group training, refer to the Fitness Club booking system manual, which can be found on the Fitness Club website;
1.1.5. youth sports activities are coordinated through the Sports School. A learning contract is entered into with a representative of the Sports School student, upon which all learning and training activities will be based. The price list determines the price per month, half year and year of the academic year;
1.1.6. a discount price applies to the client groups stated in the price list on the basis of a document proving the discount, the list and form for the presentation of which are stated in the price list;
1.1.7. the client is obliged to thoroughly consider the terms and conditions of the service being purchased before paying for it. If necessary, seek explanations about the content of the services from Sports Club customer service staff;
1.1.8. services that have been purchased will not be refunded.
1.2. In addition to paid services, to achieve the goals stated in the articles of association, the Sports Club provides services to members and students of the University of Tartu so as to provide them with a chance to play sport, and to professional athletes to boost their achievements according to the approved development plan as follows:
1.2.1. members of the University of Tartu are provided with the use of the athletics hall at Ujula 4 to perform sports activities according to the ‘Promotion of healthy lifestyles’ procedure;
1.2.2. top athletes studying at the University of Tartu and representing the University of Tartu Academic Sports Club are provided with the use of the sports buildings and facilities according to their level of skills and timetable;
1.2.3. University of Tartu student athletes who represent the university in the student competition system are provided with the use of the sports buildings and facilities as their timetable allows.
1.3. During competitions or public events there are no training activities in the relevant sports area. Replacement times and places for cancelled training are agreed upon with the customer service manager.
2.1. When coming to train and/or study, users of a sports building:
2.1.1. show the administrator their Sports Club card;
2.1.2. and/or provide the administrator with information about the use of the desired room;
2.1.3. and/or buy a pass.
2.2. The administrator registers a club card for the new client (with the exception of that set out in point 1.2).
2.2.1. The client presents the administrator with ID and, in order to obtain a discount, a document proving the right to such a discount.
2.2.2. The client pays the administrator for the desired services in cash or by card.
2.3. If necessary, the administrator will issue the user with:
2.3.1. a chip that allows the user to pass through turnstiles and doors;
2.3.2. a key to a locker in the dressing rooms.
2.4. A user of a sports building receives a key to a locker and/or a chip to use during their training. Removing a locker key and/or chip from the Sports Club premises is not allowed.
2.5. All Sports Club cards are personal and are only valid for the card holder. In the event of a card being given to another person to use a service, the Sports Club has the right to suspend or cancel the use of the service. Money will not be refunded for any unused service.
2.6. The card is not free: its price is stated in the price list. A functioning, undamaged card can be returned to the Sports Club after using a service and a refund may be obtained for it.
2.7. If the card is lost, the client is obliged to immediately inform the Sports Club thereof. If needed, a new card will be issued to the client for a fee.
2.8. Cards are valid for the time stated in the service and, in general, the period of validity is not extended unless there is a very good reason to do so (e.g. long-term illness or doctor’s orders). A valid pass may be suspended for a period of no less than seven days.
3. CLIENT’S RESPONSIBILITY
3.1. By paying for a service, the client confirms that they are familiar with and agree to follow the regulations of service and house rules of the Sports Club and that they have the appropriate physical skills and abilities and level of health to use the purchased services.
3.2. In the event of ignoring the regulations of service and house rules or rude behaviour, the Sports Club has the right to cancel the client’s right to use the Sports Club and not refund money for any unused services.
3.3. A client of the Sports Club must be aware of the condition of their health and is responsible for their well-being and health. In the event of a special diagnosis the client is obliged to notify their trainer. The Sports Club is not responsible for potential trauma or accidents during training that are caused by the client’s own activity or occur by chance.
3.4. The client is obliged to observe both training times and opening hours.
3.5. The client is obliged to return their chip and key after a training session. In the event of losing or not returning the key and chip, the client must compensate the damage according to the price list.
3.6. The Sports Club is not responsible for personal belongings left in dressing rooms or general areas. Valuable items, documents, mobile phones et al. can be left with the administrator in storage lockers for the duration of training.
4. RESPONSIBILITY OF SPORTS CLUB
4.1. The Sports Club provides paid services according to the terms and conditions stated in the price list. Sports Club staff can provide additional information about the services. New clients are provided with either one free introductory try-out training session in one area of recreational sports or a free try-out training session in one group session of the Fitness Club and two free try-out training sessions in one area for students of the Sports School.
4.2. Trainers in the corresponding hall of the Sports Club instruct and consult clients of the club in regard to using equipment.
4.3. The Sports Club is obliged to keep existing equipment and items in working order. Broken items will be fixed within a reasonable time.
4.4. The Sports Club retains the right to restrict the number of clients training in the fitness room and group training simultaneously so as to ensure appropriate training conditions and safety measures.
4.5. The Sports Club retains items left in rooms for one month from the time they are found. If during that time the owner of the items does not collect them, the Sports Club gives the items to charity or a recycling centre, or in the case of items not suited to either, destroys them.
4.6. All instructions and regulations can be found on the Sports Club website in the ‘Opening hours and house rules’ menu and in the menu on the home page of the Fitness Club.
